TheAuctions.ca (formerly On The Block Auctions) was introduced to the Ontario real estate market in 2017.  In an effort to answer the question that many consumers have asked real estate professionals for years - why can’t we know the price of competing offers? - we developed a system that could work within the real estate market that provides the level of transparency consumers are seeking.

TheAuctions.ca was founded by two real estate brokers, Katie Steinfeld and Daniel Steinfeld. Through their real estate brokerage, On The Block Realty, the couple introduced the concept of auctions to their real estate clients. Through the years, they have sold many homes using this method of sale - from a pre-construction Toronto condo to single family homes throughout Ontario.
